Plant-Based Cooking Classes & Nutrition Consultations

Our Food for Life in-person classes combine nutrition education with hands-on cooking demonstrations in a fun, interactive atmosphere. Participants learn to prepare delicious, plant-based meals while gaining insight into how food choices can prevent and manage chronic illnesses.

Each class follows the Physicians Committee’s Power Plate — a whole-food, plant-based approach emphasizing fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes while setting aside meat, dairy, eggs, honey, and added oils.
During each session, we explore the science behind plant-based foods and demonstrate healthy cooking techniques such as oil-free sautéing, roasting, and flavoring with herbs, spices, and low-fat sauces.

Class Length: 1.5–2 hours

Ideal for: Adults, seniors, parents, grandparents, faith communities, youth, and anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle.

Join our Food for Life virtual classes from the comfort of your home. These online sessions deliver the same high-quality nutrition education and cooking demonstrations as our in-person classes — with added flexibility.

You’ll receive recipes ahead of time so you can follow along live or simply watch and learn. Participants are welcome to cook alongside the instructor or relax and enjoy the presentation.
